Terms of Use
Last Updated: January 2025
Welcome to serenithalor. These terms govern your use of our website and educational services. By accessing serenithalor.com or participating in our programs, you agree to these terms.
We've written this in plain language because legal documents shouldn't need a law degree to understand. If something's unclear, reach out to us directly.
Agreement to Terms
When you visit our website, enroll in a course, or interact with our educational materials, you're entering into a binding agreement with serenithalor. This applies whether you're browsing casually or actively participating in our programs.
We update these terms occasionally. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use after updates means you accept the new terms. We'll notify you of significant changes through email or prominent website notices.
If you don't agree with any part of these terms, you should stop using our services. That sounds harsh, but it's standard practice and protects both of us.
Educational Services
serenithalor provides financial education focused on personal finance skills. Our programs aim to improve your financial literacy and decision-making abilities. However, we're educators, not financial advisors.
What We Offer
- Structured learning programs on personal finance topics
- Educational materials including videos, worksheets, and interactive content
- Access to online learning platforms during your enrollment period
- Support from instructors within designated communication channels
What We Don't Offer
We don't provide personalized financial advice, investment recommendations, or guarantees about your financial outcomes. Our content is educational and shouldn't replace professional financial planning tailored to your situation.
User Responsibilities
You're responsible for how you use our services and the information we provide. This means using good judgment and following some basic rules.
- You must be at least 18 years old to enroll in our programs. If you're younger, you'll need parental consent and supervision.
- Provide accurate information when creating your account. Using fake details or someone else's identity violates these terms.
- Keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity under your account.
- Don't share course materials outside the platform. Our content is copyrighted and meant for enrolled students only.
- Respect other learners in community spaces. No harassment, spam, or inappropriate content.
- Use the educational content for personal learning purposes, not commercial redistribution.
Important Note About Content Sharing
We've worked hard to create quality educational content. Sharing course materials hurts our ability to keep offering affordable programs. If you find our content valuable, recommend us to friends rather than sharing login details or downloading materials for others.
Enrollment and Payment
When you enroll in a program, you're purchasing access to educational content for a specific period. Payment terms vary by program and are clearly stated during checkout.
Payment Processing
We use third-party payment processors to handle transactions securely. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the stated amount. All prices are in Australian dollars unless otherwise noted.
Payments are generally non-refundable after the cooling-off period, but we handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis. If you're unhappy with a program, contact us within the first seven days of enrollment to discuss options.
Program Access
You'll receive access to enrolled programs within 24 hours of payment confirmation. Access duration depends on the specific program—some offer lifetime access while others have time-limited enrollment periods.
We reserve the right to modify program content, update materials, or discontinue courses. If we discontinue a program you've purchased, you'll retain access to existing materials for at least 90 days or receive a prorated refund.
Intellectual Property Rights
Everything on our platform—text, videos, graphics, logos, software—is owned by serenithalor or licensed to us. This content is protected by Australian and international copyright laws.
Your enrollment grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access course materials for personal educational use. You can't reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
- You may take notes and create personal summaries for your own learning
- You cannot record, screenshot, or download video content unless we provide that feature
- You cannot share course materials with non-enrolled individuals
- You cannot use our content for commercial purposes or training others
If you create content within our community spaces (forum posts, comments, shared work), you retain ownership but grant us a license to display, modify, and use that content within our platform.
Disclaimers and Limitations
Here's where we talk about what can go wrong and who's responsible when it does. Not fun, but necessary.
Educational Nature
Our programs provide general financial education. They're not tailored financial advice, tax guidance, or investment recommendations. Personal financial situations vary widely, and what works for one person might not work for another.
You should consult qualified professionals before making significant financial decisions. We can teach you concepts and strategies, but we don't know your specific circumstances, risk tolerance, or financial goals.
Results from applying our educational content will vary based on individual circumstances, effort, and external factors beyond our control.
No Guarantees
We don't guarantee specific financial outcomes, income increases, debt reduction timelines, or investment returns. Financial success depends on many factors including your starting position, consistency, market conditions, and personal decisions.
Testimonials or examples shared on our platform represent individual experiences and shouldn't be interpreted as typical results. Past performance doesn't predict future outcomes.
Technical Issues
We strive to keep our platform running smoothly, but technical problems happen. We're not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or access issues caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This includes internet outages, server failures, software bugs, security breaches by third parties, or force majeure events. We'll work to resolve technical issues quickly but can't guarantee uninterrupted access.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, serenithalor and its directors, employees, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.
This includes financial losses from decisions made based on our educational content, data loss, business interruption, or damages resulting from service interruptions.
If we are found liable for any reason, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific program or service that gave rise to the claim, or $100 AUD, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain liability exclusions, so these limitations might not apply to you. You have statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to our data practices outlined in that document.
We take reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no online system is completely secure. You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
We may use anonymized data about how students engage with course materials to improve our programs. This aggregated data doesn't identify individual users.
Termination
We can suspend or terminate your access to our services if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or behave in ways that harm other users or our platform.
- You'll receive a warning for most first-time violations unless the behavior is severe
- Repeated violations or serious misconduct may result in immediate termination without refund
- You can cancel your account anytime through your account settings
- Upon termination, you lose access to course materials and community features
If we terminate your account unfairly, we'll provide a refund for any unused portion of time-limited programs. Lifetime access purchases are not refundable after the cooling-off period except in cases of platform discontinuation.
Third-Party Links and Services
Our platform may link to external websites or integrate third-party services like payment processors or video hosting. We're not responsible for these external services' content, privacy practices, or terms.
When you click external links or use integrated services, you're subject to their terms and policies. We include links because we find them useful, not because we endorse everything on those sites.
Dispute Resolution
If something goes wrong, let's talk it through before involving lawyers or courts. Most problems can be resolved through direct communication.
Contact us at contact@serenithalor.com with a detailed description of the issue. We'll respond within five business days and work toward a reasonable solution.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes that can't be resolved informally will be handled in the courts of New South Wales.
You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action or representative proceeding, except where prohibited by law.
General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any program-specific terms, constitute the complete agreement between you and serenithalor regarding your use of our services.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. The invalid provision will be modified to be enforceable while preserving its intent.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision doesn't constitute a waiver of that right. We may choose to enforce terms selectively without losing our right to enforce them later.
Assignment
You can't transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations to another entity, particularly in the event of a merger or acquisition.
